Appendix 12

Easter Sunday 1999

To begin to imagine the devastation of the planet one must call to mind the aftermath of Hiroshima and the winds that blew thereafter. Such a massive release of energy was but a fraction of that which will be released and redistributed by the final eruption between the plates underlying the plains of America. You see the United States split from north to south towards the West Coast and cannot imagine how that would come about in such magnitude yet this phenomenon has occurred many times upon the Earth resulting in the formation of mountain ranges. The Earth is a living organism and has not died and come to rest, mummified for all time as so many of the people observe thus growth and change continues and this coming change is simply a part of the process that continues from and into eternity.

Rebirth, death and rebirth - the Phoenix from the ashes, the resurrection story of Christ, the movement of the planets, the cycle of water from river to rain to river. All has been before and all will come again. In linear time perspective states this simple perspective is easily forgotten and yet it is the greatest and most loving design of our worlds.
