                                                      INTRODUCTION

In July 1998 I gave six months notice on my job intending to spend time exploring complementary therapies in 1999. Life, however, had other plans starting with a series of interesting experiences later that month. Then in December my computer broke down and despite valiant attempts by friends and a despairing helpline, it defied resuscitation. I mentioned this to John Quigley in February 1999 when he dropped round for tea. 'They want you to write' was his enigmatic conclusion. 'Write what? I don't have anything to write about!' 'Just sit down quietly each day with a pen and paper and ask for guidance.'

I sat in meditation for half an hour each afternoon and then wrote down the thoughts that streamed through my head for another half an hour. It was not all plain sailing - sometimes the thoughts stopped in mid-sentence, my mind left in suspension for minutes on end. At other times the whole thing seemed so completely ridiculous, not only for the subject matter but particularly when equations came through for I am seriously 'mathematically challenged' and so a few sessions ended up straight in the bin - mainly at the start of the practice writings that make up the Appendix. The writings that survived the cull are written as dated and as it became apparent that some of the information given was actually true, I deposited a sealed copy of the transcripts with a solicitor in September 1999. A copy of the original book 'Phoenix Return' was sent to the British Library as required by publishing procedure.

Lacking an encyclopedic knowledge, the content made little sense to me or anyone else and as the internet was only in its infancy back then, it was not possible to verify the information for many years yet I wanted and needed proof, mainly to satisfy the scientist in me and later in order to feel secure about publishing them.

I have therefore spent considerable time researching it over the last few years. Fascinatingly the information that is verifiable has turned out to be correct, sometimes astoundingly so such as values for the 'Norwegian ecliptic counterpoint'. There were times when I was so shocked at the accuracy of the information that all I could do was pace up and down the house arguing with myself that it couldn't be true, it was impossible -and yet it was true and I've just had to accept it.

The process has been like piecing together a vast jigsaw. There are tantalising clues to the location of Atlantean artefacts said to be located in Egypt, South America, the Carribean and Scotland amongst other places and these are highlighted in green throughout the text whilst links to relevant references are highlighted in orange.

So is this a genuine spiritual communication or just another great yarn, full of half-truths and fantasy? Given that the content it has been able to check is correct, I think it's genuine but needs the final verification of finding the artefacts and in addition the texts are woven with such a gentle and kindly philosophy that despite frank disbelief, open ridicule, justifiable doubts about my own sanity, penury, exhaustion and the derailment of my career, I have persevered to present them here.

If it turns out to be just an elaborate invention then I hope that at least you'll gain some knowledge and wisdom from your explorations. If it turns out to be real - well, that will liven us all up a bit! Whatever's going on, your help is needed - there are still pieces of the jigsaw missing and if you have any special insight or knowledge, please get in touch via the contact page above. Your honesty and cooperation are appreciated.

Any obvious mistakes are my own for as the best of secretaries will confirm, there are always difficulties with dictation. There were also times when I was not as deeply relaxed as necessary and conscious thoughts intruded. You will therefore come across weeds of nonsense and inconsistency such as references to the war in Yugoslavia. In order to demonstrate my honesty in this process I've left them in, embarrassing though they be. When you're working like this you just have to go with the flow and at times the energy will dip and you just write down stuff in your conscious mind or start making things up. Nonetheless you have to continue and write down everything without filtering it otherwise the flow will stop altogether.

Dates and compass bearings were tricky. Future dates were wrong, possibly because I forced them. They have been left out here as they detract from the content but they do appear in the original book if you can track a copy down. The historical ones have been left in but whether they are right or wrong only time will tell. They were clearer in my mind than the other ones so they stay. Interestingly the original compass bearings were found to be 180 degrees out of kilter with the 'real' ones eg. for north read south. Some have been corrected, some have not - I got distracted and lost track, so the only way to know for sure would be to examine the original writings.

Regarding the seventy so-called 'Books' listed at the start, it has been possible to marry them up with the contents of the text but often an entire 'Book' is condensed into just a sentence or two and they are scattered throughout the writings in a different order to the one given in the index. To help you out and save hours of time, each 'Book' listed in the index is linked to a section of the text that seems to contain the relevant content. Some bits are unfathomable such as 'The Freemason's Art' whilst others are simply missing eg 'Essences and Remedies' and 'Floral Classification'. Perhaps they're in the bin. Finally, diagrams are not of a professional standard because they were just scribbles for my own use with no thought of publication. They are presented in their original state as true copies of the original documents. Bearing all this in mind, here are the writings in their entirety minus a few personal instructions.

Please spread the word about this site so that the information will reach those who are open to the philosophy and those who have the resources to search for the artefacts. Of course there is no guarantee that they exist at all but given the accuracy of all the other information given maybe just maybe they really do - and that would be truly astonishing......
